Photographic Prints for Sale for a limited time only: Purchasing Prints This program is currently funded almost entirely by the program volunteers who donate their time, skills and money. At this time, we are in urgent need of art supplies and musical instruments. Therefore, with the gracious permission of the artists in the photography program we are offering these prints for sale in hopes that we can raise some money to purchase much-needed supplies and continue to offer this program.
If you would like to purchase art from this recent exhibit or images from our website, you may pay by credit card, check or cash. Please make your check payable to The Artist Inside. Prices range from 50 - 95 dollars matted & are matted to archival quality & available with or without framing.

Current Art Class at the J. Paul Taylor Center

Art class began again in September after a short break. The students are currently working on a large chalk pastel piece, done in multiple sections for Dia de Los Muetos (Day of the Dead). This class will stay with the Mexican heritage theme and study the works of Diego Rivera and complete a Diego Rivera style piece to hang in their living quarters.
Artist Inside Benefit Concert & Art Exhibit: July 15, 5:30 PM at the Rio Grande Theatre: The Artist Inside Program presented a Benefit Concert & Gallery Exhibit of photography from young men at the J. Paul Taylor Juvenile Detention Center along with a concert by soprano, Karline Valentine accompanied by musicians from Las Cruces Friends of Chamber Music.
ACTOR INSIDE
The Actor Inside which teaches acting to youth in the Juvenile Justice System in the state of New Mexico. ActorInside classes are bilingual (English/Spanish), grounded in strength-based pedagogy, and aligned with the National Standards for Theater Education. Students adhere to a collaboratively generated contract delineating the conditions of a safe and respectful learning space, and participate in a final self-reflection evaluating personal skill acquisition and overall experience.

We are currently in need of volunteers in the Las Cruces Area to begin a theater program at the J.Paul Taylor Juvenile facility in Las Cruces, NM. f you are interested please contact: Sara Flores 575-525-2333
Art Inside New Art & music Classes at The J. Paul Taylor Center Juvenile Detention Facility in Las Cruces, New Mexico began in August 2008. If you have an art skill and a desire to teach people who are incarcerated, please let us know, you will find this volunteer work highly rewarding.

NMSU CHOIRS donated tickets to the Music Inside Program so some of the young men at the J.Paul Taylor Center were able to attend The Passion of St. John. We are very appreciative of this generous gift.
